Toyotas and Terrorists

For many years now I have been seeing pictures of al-Qaeda and ISIS
terrorists driving around in Toyota pickups, most of the time with a
big automatic weapon sticking out of the back. In some photos it
appears that some of these Toyota pickup convoys are at least 50
vehicles long.

Recently inquisitive journalists have begun asking, “Where did all

these brand-new Toyota pickups come from? Who supplied them?” After
all, Toyota Motors must know this.

Well, now we have an answer. We supplied them. Through our state
department, to Turkey, who passed them along to the enemy. So dear
tax-payer, see how your hard-earned money is being spent.

But wait a minute, if we are knowingly giving vehicles to the enemy,
then they are perhaps not really an enemy. Yegads, could it be that
all of those conspiracy nuts running around saying that we created
ISIS be correct?

Yes, those conspiracy nuts claim that the USA neocons have an agenda
of constant-war, and the Middle East is where it is picked to play
out. They say that now that Al-Qaeda was being soundly defeated, they
needed a new enemy to be able to justify keeping the war alive. So
they created ISIS out of ragtag remnants of the defeated terrorist
groups, trained them in Jordan, rearmed and resupplied them, and
relaunched their terrorist agendas throughout the Middle East.

In one week Russian jets have inflicted more damage to the ISIS forces
in Syria that the US has done in two years. Not only is this
embarrassing for us, it suggest that something is rotten in Denmark.
It suggests that we have been pulling our punches. It suggests that we
have not really been aggressively fighting ISIS. Could we be
protecting them?

And then, our local warmongers such as Rubio, Fiorina and McCain
actually propose that we attack Russia for what it has done against
the terrorists in Syria. Are they nuts? Or desperate politicians who
will say anything to appease the neocons? Yes I think that they are
nuts. And dangerous too.

Anyway, I now find myself, a decorated Vietnam Veteran who dodged
bullets that were made in Russia, now rooting for the Russians. Wait a
minute, does this now make me a conspiracy nut?

Oh well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Our own government is
making me one.
