Russia, Iran and China now. Putin has formed a new "triple alliance" in Syria with the countries historically close to the Kremlin. According to information from the government of Damascus, a Chinese warship was en route to Syria: now you would find it in the Mediterranean.
This information was however denied by the Israelis.
According to the intelligence agency Debka, the Chinese have already deployed by the coasts of the Syria Liaoning aircraft carrier and a missile cruiser.
The Chinese would not even offensive capability. According to Israeli analysts, in fact, the carrier docked at the port of Tartus is deprived of its air component. The warplanes will arrive in Syria by the middle of November, flying through Iran or transported by cargo Russians.
If so, that it explains the need to establish a "military coordination cell" in Baghdad. According to Debka, the Chinese they would be setting up a squadron of J-15, fourth-generation multi-role fighter, anti-submarine helicopters Z-18F and early warning Z-18J. Beijing finally deploy a thousand soldiers.
Iran, however, has in Syria over a thousand soldiers belonging to the Revolutionary Guards Corps to assist Hezbollah in Zabadani. From Vladivostok Putin he has called for the creation of a coalition against the Islamic state: the call responded China and Iran.
Since 2011, forces loyal to Assad fight against different opposition groups, some of which radical extremists like Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic state. Since the beginning of the war in Syria, the United States has supported the moderate Syrian opposition, demanding the resignation of Assad. Russia, however, Assad acknowledged as the only legitimate authority of Syria.
Moscow is not only trying to support the Syrian government, but also to expand its role within Syria so that it can influence the selection of a new government in the event that Assad was ousted. Moscow, in a few weeks, has created a defensive perimeter advanced (Tartus, Latakia, Istamo and Al-Sanobar) from where to project their power in the region.
The naval base at Tartus is the last Russian outpost in the Middle East after the collapse of the Soviet Union. It should be considered a given: the base of Tartus on the Mediterranean coast of Syria and connected to Bassel al-Assad International Airport south of Latakia, is now protected by five Russian warships, three Chinese and at least two submarines. And 'impregnable.
The isolation of the West towards Russia, as a result of sanctions imposed after the affair Ukraine, in a sense, Putin authorized to act without any kind of international consensus. Indeed, precisely for the Russians, patriotic rediscovered after the affair Ukraine, Putin was the only one to align with the Syrian regime in the name of fighting terrorism and extremism.
The United States, however, would be those that would have facilitated the rise of the Islamic State with the failure of their strategy. Moscow, in fact, not part of the international coalition against Isis.
One wonders, now, who could oppose efforts of the coalition Russian-Chinese. The answer is simple: none.

China joins Russian buildup in Syria, sends carrier
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report Sep 26, 2015, 1:17 PM (IDT)
China has jumped aboard the Russia-Iranian military alliance in Syria by sending the aircraft carrier Liaoning-CV-16 to Tartus, to await the arrival of a squadron of its J-15 Flying Shark fighters. As Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Barack Obama smiled and sat down in the White House to discuss improving relations, Beijing showed muscle.

No match for a U.S. Hornet: “China’s Navy J-15 more a flopping fish than a flying shark” Chinese media say

Even if some analysts compared it to the F/A-18 Hornet, the Shenyang J-15 “Flying Shark” may not be the powerful and deadly threat to the U.S. Navy Air Power in the Pacific.
Indeed, in spite of the recent claims that it had succesfully achieved full-load take off and landing on the Liaoning aircraft carrier, the China’s embarked plane may not be able to operate from Beijing’s first supercarrier.
According to the Sina Military Network, that has (weirdly) criticized the Flying Shark calling it a “flopping fish”, the recent tests with heavy weapons have limited the attack range of the J-15 to a distance of 120 kilometers from the carrier: whilst it is said to be capable to carry 12 tons of weapons, when the aircraft is fully loaded with fuel, it can’t carry more than 2 tons of missiles and munitions, meaning that only two YJ-83K anti-ship missiles and two PL-8 air-to-air missiles could be carried (in an anti-ship configuration).
People’s Liberation Army Navy’s next generation carriers will have electromagnetic catapults that will safely launch heavy J-15s. The problem is the ski-jump ramp of the current, only PLA Navy aircraft carrier, that makes take off of aircraft exceeding 26 tons of total weight extremely difficult unless you have a more powerful aircraft, as the Mig-29K.
That’s why a lone Soviet aircraft carrier with ski-jump is no match for a U.S. flattop. And a J-15 carrying only handful of medium and short range air-to-air missiles in air defense configuration to be able to launch for Liaoning would probably be no match for U.S. carrier-based F/A-18E/F Hornet.
