I think it's a little of both but I'm leaning more towards the callous point of view. As George Carlin was fond of saying, "They don't care about you, they don't care about you, they don't care about you!"

As Howard Duff, of Veterans Today, is fond of saying, "Folks, you just can't make this stuff up." Who would have believed two or three decades ago, that we would have people in positions of power and trust who are as dumb as those we see today. Or, perhaps they are unbelievably callous and intentionally allow infected people to not only enter our country from West Africa, but to do so without any medical screening, quarantine, or tracking, and then roam around the cities as they please. When I was a kid, we were quarantined to our home when we came down with Chicken Pox, Measles, or Mumps. Today, we have one of the most deadly diseases known to man, and probably modified by a bunch of insane maniacs to make it more lethal, and those in our government whom we trust to protect our safety, allow infected people to run all over the place infecting others. It does prove a point, though, and that is that our elected and appointed officials don't give a damn about us, and in fact, seem to be trying to "cull the herd" using disease, terrorism, and mass uncontrolled immigration to do the job. I think those who allow this to happen, and actively facilitate an outbreak, should be the ones culled from society. Perhaps, with the Good Lord willing, that will happen soon. Ajeocci
