Atheism has nothing to do with comedy. Seen any good jokes in the Bible?
What has ruined comedy is two things:
1. Comedy depends upon inferences about truth. When what is substituted are inferences based on propaganda, there is reaction only from those who believe the propaganda. Comedy relies on universal truths and common sense. Comedy and all drama rely on evoking the emotions that people bring with them into the theatre, triggering those. Theatre does not work if one works from premises based on lies, unless you are pointing out the lies.
2. The theatre, music, and all the arts have been infested with woke idiots and relatives of the cabal. Comedians are basically incompetent, being mostly some cabal-member's brother-in-law or sister-in-law; or, at the very least, losing their sense of humor as they are by degrees forced into acts against humanity. Singers sing tuneless music with cardboard, inane lyrics.
George Carlin had it right when he said its all a club and you ain't in it.
