Jeanne-Paule Marie "Jeannine" Deckers (17 October 1933 - 29 March 1985), better known as Sœur Sourire (French for "Sister Smile") and often called The Singing Nun in English-speaking countries, was a Belgian singer-songwriter and a member of the Dominican Order in Belgium as Sister Luc Gabriel.

This is the last videoclip of Belgian Jeannine Deckers, The Singing Nun or Soeur Sourire. It's a remake of her smash hit 1963, Dominique. It outsold Elvis as it stayed for four weeks on top of the Billboard Charts.

This is a very charming version of Dominque by Sister Smile/Soeur Sourire. It's a shame that so many posters leave such nasty messages about this version of the song. This woman may have had a difficult life but she brought a lot of faith, hope, joy and love to people with her music. I hope she is singing and playing her guitar in Heaven for all eternity.

Quite a story. I'm old enough to remember the impact she had on the world at the time. A little nun writes a song that was a major hit in the USA. It's a tragic tale also. But, all in all, she did the best she could. God Bless her soul.
