Our dogs are a great control group. We only vaccinate what is required by law. Spanish Mastiff's are a breed well known for hip dysplasia issues They have been free from any common physical ailments like dysplasia, loose elbows, distemper, parvo. They have no skin issues or ear issues. Since I first got them as well as several generations later, they are still doing great. I started with healthy dogs who have a great work ethic and I have kept this line going.

They are only supposed to live till 10 as an average age and my original dominant female is going strong at 11. No signs of slowing down, eyes clear and bright, her mind is clear and her teeth are perfect, without tarter or bad gums. She looks and acts like she is an 8 year old dog.

We occasionally get a person who asks for a vaccine free pup, but most people are adamant about their own pups getting vaccinated. I don't even bring it up, because they don't care and will instantly get their hackles up if the hot button issue is mentioned. I really want to share this information but most people do not wish to receive the information on this topic.

I have been caring for my personal animals in this manner going on 20 years now. It is the only difference I have apart from most dog breeders, other than also feeding high quality meat and bones and offal when available. And quality kibble when better food isn't available. And don't get me wrong, that alone is huge for their health, but the first goal for me is to prevent them getting any ailments through these injections. The dogs that I have owned in my life that weren't raised by me, and had their entire series of injections struggled with many things. Allergies, ear infections, auto-immune dysfunctions. I had a German Shepherd who could not tolerate any protein when fed kibble. Duck, turkey, beef, went though an entire regime. When switched to raw tripe, he did much better...but when fed kibble his skin would be on fire, he would scratch like crazy at his poor ears.

I started realizing this about 10 years ago because of that German Shepherd, wondering what the difference was, as they are all fed the same by me. So I tried to narrow down what was different. That appeared to be the main difference, vaccinated versus unvaccinated...or rarely vaccinated at the least as we are required by law to procure the rabies vaccine. I have had some vaccinated animals who were ok, not sure if their immune systems handled it better or the vaccines they had weren't as toxic? Not sure... But there is a huge difference when looking at the numbers.
