Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids play "Good ....

Yesterday (July 22nd), Aubree Clark posted The Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" which was the latest cover from their family band, Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids, to their YouTube channel. It was outstanding considering the age range of the musicians involved.

Colt, the father, is a professional musician and usually plays lead guitar and does the lead vocals. But his son Cash is approximately 10, and usually plays electric base; Beckett is around 8 and plays drums; and here, Bellamy, about age 6, adds percussion while all three contribute to the vocal chorus. Aubree, wife, mother, and now producer has recently added the cover of their 400th song to their YouTube channel.

When the country was forced to shut down in early 2020 for the so-called 'pandemic,' Colt was unable to play any gigs so he and his 'Quarantine Kids,' who had already been playing their instruments for about a year, started playing together at home and Aubree began filming videos to send to family and friends; a small venture that turned into a big hit for the family with 334,000 followers on YouTube.

I have been following the group since last fall, and seeing them do "Good Vibraions" really puts a smile on my face. They give off some good vibes, themselves, and I hope that the surviving Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, and Mike Love will get to see it.

(Though they are called the 'Quarantine Kids because of the 'pandemic,' they were and are being home-schooled and so were at home, anyway.)
