I love waking up to the vocalizations of birds right outside my bedroom window.Shafts of sunlight peek through and I know it's going to be another beautiful summer day.

Having coffee (or a glass of wine) in my "Concrete Jungle" is pure bliss. Watching the birds nervously eyeing the cat - who cannot wait to hang outside with me - and seeing the bees buzzing around the African Blue Basil fills me with delight, as do
the scents of vanilla (heliotrope) and peach (asparagus fern flowers). I have filled it almost to the brim with plants. It is a sacred space.

One of my favorite summertime activities is lying out by the pool. Vitamin D, baby! With music provided by the wind in the surrounding trees. Totally relaxing in the sounds of nature and the warmth of the sun.

Paradise is all around us. We only need open our eyes.

Love the beauty of birdsong also, and watching them go about their business locked in a world both within yet totally removed from that of ourselves.

Upon having woken, and stepping outside to enjoy a coffee, there's always a row of sparrows waiting to greet me, sitting expectantly upon my balcony railing. I wish them a good morning as they then seemingly give me a nod, before then stretching their wings to take flight.

Yes, Paradise is all around us. We only need open our eyes.
