My message is regards to Lymerick's post "Xinjiang Police File Hack - Why China is Terrified". Lymerick does not have a reply button, so I am emailing you the response.

I watched the video and was shocked at the glib and casual and self righteous way of presenting "torture", "genocide", "forced labor", "Han men sleeping with Uyguer wives after the husbands were taken away", "teenagers detained because their neighbor was detained", etc, etc. All without the slightest evidence. According to the video, all those accusations are now "proven" with the hacking of the Xinjiang police department. Yet, all one can see are pictures of people getting arrested, and thousands of mug shots. Nothing you don't see from other police departments anywhere. How is this hack proving the wild accusations????? Historically, the CCP has a policy of preference for minorities (in terms of college entrance, job acceptance and the number of children a couple can have). With the unrest in Xinjiang and elsewhere (Tibet, Hong Kong) China is assuming a harder policy. See a scholarly article on this topic.
