You are taking what he said out of context, as to why he made that reference...Clearly stated in the very first Chapter...

Just because some bleeding heart liberal says it is so, is a bunch of whoy. Hell her example gives off the impression her "cities' are overcrowded and need culling anway, and what business is it of hers if a man decides he wants to farm Octopus on his own property, that has nothing to do with her 'cities' or the ocean for that matter. In fact what he proposes helps the ecological chain by NOT pulling the octopus's from their natural environment or cities if you like. I see nothing repulsive about this at all. I know my son is starting a fish farm, as I write this. Now when I see him at the end of the month I am going to suggest he researches the possibility of farming octopus himself for financial gain.
