FATAL DEFECT.
In order for cryptos to have value, real value identified by assets, property either real or chattel, or perceived value, a current currency duly recognized by law must be transferred to the identified crypto wallet.

Thus, cryptos are merely an unregulated storage place for current currency taken out of circulation and renamed what ever name is attached to that wallet storage place.

Cryptos under this recognition then become a refuge from regulators and legalized force of law controlling currencies circulating as money.

Given that DARPA, a subdivision of the U.S. Military under control of the office President created the math and algorithms allowing cryptos to exists raises a very serious question.

What is the likely hood that DARPA et al released the crypto technology with out reserving a back door and ultimate monitoring and control over the technology when ever it suits their agenda?

It certainly appears from recent events that cryptos are not nearly as secure as once believed.

How did the original value of the USD change when its name changed to what is now called BitCoin?
