Our forefathers would not only turn over but they would have kicked the D.C. guys out of office, tarred and feathered the traitors (or worse) and set up a new governing body by dinner. Our Foremothers would have helped them!!

Wow, what a horror story! What a bassackwards world we live in anymore! I don't understand? The child was in his own yard...he wasn't wandering the neighborhood bullying other kids or destroying neighbors property or some such. I guess the days of "latch key kids" are pretty much over. It wasn't as if he was a toddler left alone. How are kids supposed to learn self reliance nowadays?

Now, kids are taught to see folks confused about their gender as "heroes". Pictures of sports figures will probably be put on Maxi pad boxes in the future instead of cereal boxes. I feel sorry for the up and coming Jenner-ations.

Recently, parents were shocked to hear of a class trip that involved a visit to a "sex toy" store. That is how sex ed is taught nowadays? What next, a trip to a forensics lab to observe gruesome scenes of bodies as a lesson in anatomy? A class trip to an execution to see one of the many ways electric can be used?

Kids/parents in trouble because the child was in his own yard for a bit. In the old days, some of us kids actually did grocery shopping by ourselves for our mom if she was ill or some such. This nanny state stuff is a sham. They want the kids to be treated like big babies and yet they send Military recruiters into schools to try and inspire kids to join up and hand them a gun to kill...sometimes before the kids have even had their first beer or first "love".

Parents can't even pick/choose which vaccines their kids get or how many or get to space them out. They are expected to get them all and the more at once, the better. Infants and toddlers made to get vaccines for Hepatitis and cervical cancer while not even mature yet.

School lunches are even mandated by so-called experts/authorities. Heaven forbid you pack a lunch for your child and even worse...if the kids bites his bread and peanut butter food into the wrong shape....like a gun shape?? Who watches and judges/determines shapes of these kids foods anyhow. Play grounds aren't for play anymore. Educators have the final say as to what transpires during break time. Geez. Enough already. The modern "family" of today would make Ozzie and Harriet cringe and the state of the "union" would make our forefathers roll over in their graves.
