I just spoke with a friend of mine that I do Video card repairs for his crypo mining rigs. He's a pretty smart young cookie so he may possibly be onto something here.
So he called to get an update on one of his cards and told me about what had happened since I hadn't jumped on the puter at the time. He said that if people do something he called a charge back that the bank would have to reimburse it by law. On top of that he stated that apparently it can cost GoFundMe up to twice what was donated ... so example if you donated 100 it could cost them 200 in the end. Now I'm not sure myself about that but he seemed pretty sure of himself. I think anyone who did donate should do a charge back anyway just as a matter of principle ... that their donation DID NOT go to the one they thought it would.
If anyone else out there knows anything about this ... send a message to Hobie and he can post your comments. I would do it myself except I am swamped with tons of work right now and wouldn't have time to sift through all the mail.
