67 year-old Stella Rothstein of New Yawk calls her travel agent.
"Abie," she says, "I wanna go to Tibet."
"You're kidding me,right?" says Abie.
"I'm serious. I wanna go to Tibet."
"Listen, Stella, how 'bout I book you for a week in Key West?"
"Abie, you're not listening. I wanna go to Tibet."
They go back and forth like that for ten minutes. Finally, Abie books her NYC to LAX to Singapore to Mumbai to Katmandu, in Tibet.
Stella hires a Sherpa guide to take her up the mountain to the Buddhist monastery. She bangs on this huge door til a monk opens it and asks her what she wants.
"I'm Stella Rothstein from New Yawk, and I want an audience with the High Lama."
The monk explains to her that many devout Buddhists have waited years for an audience with the High Lama. But Stella will not budge.
"I'm Stella Rothstein from New Yawk, and I want an audience with the High Lama."
So she's fed and given a room for the night. Next morning a different monk comes to her room and says "The High Lama will see you now. Please follow me."
He takes her to the very highest level of the monastery, opens a door and gestures for her to enter.
Stella looks at the High Lama, and says,
