It's been a little bit since they have had any earthquakes in this location but they do happen. Damage has been reported of unreinforced masonry.

For me in Shepparton it started slowly, then grew in intensity, then settled down again. For at least a minute.

At first I though there was a cat in the roof cavity above me which had me wondering how it got in there. Then the mirrors on my wardrobe started to rattle, which had me wondering how a cat go in there? Then the rattle turned to banging, and there was a loud rumbling noise. The house started shaking like there was a violent wind out side, and my bed started shaking. When I stood I got dizzy and that is when I realised it was an earth quake.

I yelled to get the kids outside, and staggered out of the house. The mirrors on their wardrobes we’re rattling as we went outside. When we got outside all the neighbourhood dogs were barking. When I. Are back into my room I found things had fallen down and hanging stuff was still swaying. I had vertigo and a head ache like pressure around my head for a couple of hours afterward. One of the cats came into the house after about half an house covered in cob webs, and walking real cautiously. He’s resting beside me now.
