One of the most active in the Unregistered, New Testament Church "movement" is the Unregistered Baptist Fellowship.

It was started by Dr. Greg Dixon many years ago. He was the one at the start of the GWB administration the Reality Impaired Media showed being wheeled out of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. And didn't the IBT steal happen under those "fine, self-avowed "christians," AG John Ashcroft and Baby Bush?

A 501(c)(3) "church" is a tax exempt whorehouse under the IRS code. True, New Testament Churches are "tax immune." Per the IRS Publication 1828:

Churches that meet the requirements of IRC Section 501(c)(3) are automatically considered tax exempt and are not required to apply for and obtain recognition of tax-exempt status from the IRS.

Although there is no requirement to do so, many churches seek recognition of tax-exempt status from the IRS because this recognition assures church leaders, members and contributors that the church is recognized as exempt and qualifies for related tax benefits. For example, contributors to a church that has been
recognized as tax exempt would know that their contributions generally are tax-deductible.

The Head Pastor is the Undershepherd. He and only he is between the congration of the LORD Jesus Himself. Those "pastors" read hireling are typically milquetoast prissy preachers called by their momma's. Some even wear a black dress in the pulpit.

LBJ understood the ramifications of Churches being under the IRS code. You can't preach politics from the pulpit is a main issue. I know of a number of "former" 501(c)(3) religious institutions that lost their 501(c)(3) for doing so. They never needed it in the first place.

Most likely, a True, New Testament Church doesn't have paid employees. Rarely does the Pastor take a salary from the offerings. It doesn't have a secretary. It may have an archivist. People that work in the ministry typically volunteer and give out of their own resources to support the ministry. Offerings go to pay rent, utilities and the rest, put back into the ministry.
