Yes, you have nailed it on several important points. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

For one thing, the behavior of some of the U.S. officials has been reprehensible - beyond anything reasonable when it comes to upholding their oaths of office and the law. They have engaged in gross negligence and endangered what's left of this country and they should pay for it before anything else happens.

Your example of the vision is exactly what must have already happened to many Americans like the women found hanged, etc., the elder man out jogging who met with attackers when he phoned 911 on cellphone saying "they have big dogs!", etc., and scores of others. Some people are simply found shot with large caliber weapons and no explanation ever offered to the public. Some of these crimes and others such as the older pet horse found shot with arrows that died a miserable death. These are not necessarily violent acts that an U.S.-born person would commit. They are more likely done by intruders from other nations.

Law enforcement and Border Patrol have a difficult job on their hands which amounts to a constant situation, so when we criticize them for shooting some unarmed person that criticism must be tempered with the proability that officers have to assume a suspect is armed or they could wind up dead in a millisecond! Consequently this tense, constant situation of not knowing where all the illegals are is ruining the place for good citizens. Many of us have had our tiffs with the ticket-writers, you know, but there is something else going on now and officials should now require every household to be armed. Anyone not inside an asylum, jail, prison, etc., should be armed even if they have to issue government-issue weapons.
