What if an evil power having driven the world to near destruction with wars, poverty, theft, greed, bigotry, racism, materialism, pollution of air, land and water; now on the verge of being expelled from the planet after being tasked with winding down its experiment, would care nothing for awakening its subjects about the whole experiment, but would instead prefer to simply kill off those subjects, especially after having been given permission by the new ETs to destroy a certain number of those subjects that prefer to remain blind?
