I'm with you on bargains..

I find all kinds of bargains at sales. Especially if you go to upscale neighborhood sales. Basically, they are just selling it to get rid of it. I've bought lawnmowers, TV's. Complete table settings still in the box, that they probably got for a present, and it sat in their closet till the sale. Brand-new shoes in boxes or with tags. Tables, lamps, chairs, sofas, oil paintings, very 'in-style' knickknacks, musical instruments, bedroom furniture, lumber, patio furniture sets, toys, kids clothes, adult clothes .. Some were coupon queens, and they will sell all kinds of laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, cleaners, dog food, household goods for pennies on the dollar.. Others were moving and didn't want to ship it to the new house, so you could get large appliances (and small) dirt cheap.. I always make them plug it all in. Sooner or later, you'll find it at a sale.. One thing I don't like to go to are large church sales or school sales. It's already been picked over by the people setting it up and the rest is meh!!..

Like you, I'm a bargain hunter.. I find loads of things that people were given (kitchen towels, bathroom towels, sheet sets, glasses, kitchen items) and they didn't want them, it didn't go with their decor, or they simply didn't like them. That's OK, I did .. :-))

You see tons of grannies at sales buying up crap loads of baby clothes/baby furniture for the grands too. They don't wear them long enough to put much wear and tear on jackets, coats, shoes, especially nice clothes they might have worn once..

When I go to the stores (rarely) I head off to the clearance racks first..
