The AstraZeneca COVID vaccine uses "viral vector" technology as opposed to the mRNA vaccines being produced by Pfizer and Moderna. Although that technology has never been used before in a coronavirus vaccine it has been used in the past for other types of vaccines such as rabies and pneumonia vaccines. While that would appear to make the AZ vaccine more of a proven method as compared to the mRNA vaccines it still is experimental as all the clinical trials have not been completed.

Regardless of the type of vaccine for "COVID" people need to keep in mind that the overall mortality rate and number of people that actually get really sick from COVID is very small as a percentage of the population. The vast majority of people that get the virus have really mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. So maybe the only people that should consider the AZ vaccine are people that are at high risk of falling seriously ill from the virus, particularly when the AZ vaccine has not been fully and properly tested,.

Personally I will rely on high dose vitamin D, zinc and quercitin for protection from viruses rather than an experimental vaccine.
