Yes, we all know what the constitution says about 'The Right to Bear Arms'.. We also know they don't give two hoots about the constitution nor do they recognize our RIGHT to Free Speech. Example the cancel culture. Freedom to express ourselves and the Right to pursue happiness.

Allowing them to convert our inherent Rights to government granted privileges is a big mistake.

Absent a constitutional amendment that specifically addresses this matter of the individual right to keep and bear arms, "shall NOT be infringed" remains as the supreme law of the land. Remember that in the last century after they made Prohibition the supreme law of the land with the passage of the 18th Amendment but then later found it to have been a horrible mistake that it was not an easy mistake to fix by any act of the Congress or the president. Ending Prohibition required the passage of the 21st Amendment to finally bring the era of Prohibition to an end and thereby allowing Americans to once again enjoy the legal consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

Understand that the Constitution is a covenant. And under the rules of contract law, an amendment to a document overrides and "supersedes" everything that came before it and that the amendment alters what is in the original document. And that nothing can change the provisions or the directives of an amendment other than another amendment that specifically addresses those issues. And that furthermore, under our system of law, in any area of dispute where there may exist or where a conflict arises between what is in the original document and what is in the amendment, it is always the provisions and the directives of the amendment that shall and must prevail.

The Second Amendment is a very clearly written and a very explicit command directive to the government designed and intended to limit the power of the government by prohibiting any kind of infringement on the Right to keep and bear arms.

The Right to keep and bear arms is a recognized God given Right and is NOT a privilege. And the exercise of a Right requires no license or permission from government.
