IMHO, Freddie Gray died from exacerbation of a pre-existing injury whose records are HIPAA-protected.
He would probably not have died if . . .
. . . he had not had the pre-existing injury
OR
. . . he had not been 'illegally' arrested.
It was the combination that killed him.
In any case, I believe the Murder charge is over the top and will not stand. I think the most they can support is Gross Negligence due to failure to get a medic.
I'll be curious to see how the privacy of medical records is handled when this finally goes to court.
