Project Veritas journalist James O’Keefe locked out of his Twitter account over bogus copyright claim

(Natural News) Conservative journalist James O’Keefe of the conservative activist group Project Veritas was temporarily locked out of his Twitter account after the company hit him with a copyright claim on a tweet of his that was over nine months old. This comes just several days after O’Keefe and Project Veritas uncovered a ballot harvesting scheme operating in Minneapolis, Minnesota tied to the Democratic Party and Rep. Ilhan Omar.

For a short period of time, O’Keefe was locked out of his account after an unknown figure filed a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice on a tweet of his dating back to Jan. 13.

Due to the copyright claim being private, O’Keefe was unable to find out who filed it. Twitter also refused to point out exactly what tweet of his got him a copyright violation. However, the social media giant informed the journalist that he will be allowed to dispute the violation with a counter-notice, despite not knowing anything about the person who filed the complaint.
