Rife's microscope is not a dark field type.

Rife was using very sophisticated electronics and crystals to overcome parallax, the blurring of the image that occurs when light beams cross going through the lens. Rife also developed a system for 'staining' using pulsed square wave light frequencies that isolated various organisms, and that is all an oversimplification.

Dark field microscopes use scattered light to fluoresce the edges of objects viewed in an otherwise dark field, and is used mainly for blood analysis today, and that is another oversimplification.

Rife is THE most underrated and persecuted medical scientist of the twentieth century, but his work survives in others who are championing the cause, along with the work of Bechamp, who theorized the idea of pleomorphism in microscopic organisms, which has since been demonstrated by Rife, and more recently Gaston Naessens, who observed what he termed somatids, which were the basis of the morphing organisms.
