: All Hail Hillary: Students Locked In Classrooms As
: Clinton Visits "Everyday Iowans"

Erika Smalley, a student at Kirkwood Community College who grew up in Iowa, wanted to meet Hillary Clinton on the presidential hopeful's first official campaign stop.

In Erika's report entitled, I Am An ‘Everyday Iowan’ And Here Is How Close I Got To Hillary Clinton Today, she noticed "students pressed up against the glass in their classrooms so I took this photo. I learned later that they had been locked down for Hillary’s arrival."

In contrast, compare this photo that I took last month in Quito, Ecuador, where there were no restrictions or barriers to prevent myself or the local citizenry from hearing President Rafael Correa give his weekly talk that he offers every Monday morning at the Presidential Palace.
