Hobie you do this all the time when you post something Bible related. Why bash bible followers? Why even post something to insight something? You know, it's a big turn off to Christ followers. Is that your intention? I agree with the reader, we all love rumor mills and come, but your posts don't help. It makes me feel you are selective and the reader pointed out and I feel that you aim to try and stir up something. You are a turn off to rumor mills.

(hobie here.) Your perception of what I do in this regard is mistaken. In the current instance, the posted message was from a Reader who has expressed his point of view repeatedly over time but whose messages I usually do not post, for multiple reasons. I disagree on most of the points in his current message but posted it anyway, as a courtesy to him but also to allow opportunity for others to comment on what he'd written.

That's not to "stir things up", as you put it, but to allow for some amount of calm and civil discussion, both pro and con, on the topic.
