One of the MAIN REASONS 5 GIGAHERTZ was introduced was due to the more narrow bandwidth of 2.4GHz. Additionally, Going to the 5Ghz frequency eliminated interference from Leaky Microwave Ovens & Digital Spread Spectrum 2.4 GHz that Panasonic was a pioneer of in implementing in their cordless house phones to increase privacy, clarity, & Range...REALLY messed with the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi as it was a frequency hopping technology and it BROKE Wi-Fi connections.

I just looked at Panasonic cordless phones and now they are set at 1.9GHz. When I first started, it was 2.4GHz, then I believe they went to 5.4GHz and just today I looked at Panasonic cordless home phones and they are set at 1.9GHz.

It is the FCC that mandates and allocates certain frequency bands for certain products!...so sometimes things get shuffled around! The cordless home phones being the most noticeable and prominent from what I've seen!!!

What people don't realize is what and how to ask critical questions!!! In this case, does the product create and emit ionizing radiation???

There's more ionizing radiation when you step out into the natural elements than when you just stay in your home!!! Have you ever gone out on a cool/cold morning and smelled that "fresh smell" as if there was a lightning/thunderstorm and there wasn't??? Well, that "fresh smell" is Ozone (O3) usually created from high voltage electrical discharge...in effect, Ionizing Radiation!!! More than likely, the Ozone in this case is probably from the upper atmosphere and has settled to the ground due to a temperature inversion of the atmosphere.
