More amusement parks across the country are falling victim to the coronavirus pandemic.

Six Flags announced that it will either be closing down or delaying the openings of its amusement parks across the United States, Canada and Mexico. While the announcement says that the parks won't open until mid-May, it also says that this date could be pushed further back.

Theme parks and other attractions all over the country are pushing back their reopening dates as it becomes apparent that COVID-19 won’t blow over quickly. But rather than commit to a new date, Disney offered the industry’s first honest response — it’s closed until further notice.

Universal Studios’ Hollywood And Orlando Theme Parks Extend Closures

Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort on Tuesday extended their closures in response to growing restrictions to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Both parks and their respective CityWalk attractions will now remain closed through April 29.

Universal Studios Hollywood, located in Universal City, CA, first shuttered on March 14 out of “an abundance of caution and in response to the guidance provided by the California Department of Public Health,” it said at the time. It originally said it anticipated to reopen March 28.
