Ii couldn't sleep much past 2am this morn and so I got up and decided to do some reading. Went 1st to Natural News (Mike Adams) and found lots of new articles to read so hit the one at the top of the list 1st.

So I see his numbers and have been watching what he's been predicting and saying over the last week or so and his numbers aren't adding up either.
For instance, in this article he states the death rate globally is now at 6%. Fooey ! My calculation at current dashbrd numbers is 3.6% as of 3:20am MDT 3/11/20.
And of course he had graphs and a bunch of talk about how this is very very BAD !
So i decided to do some of my own number crunching from a slightly different angle. I took the 4 worst hit countries and totaled up numbers of infected and numbers of dead for each of the 4 worst hit and calculated % mortality rate for each. I also did the same for the world total (just % death rate ). Which is when I found that the global death rate is currently 3.6%. Which prompted me to run my own calculations for the fun of it. ( after seeing Mike's 6% )

So after subtracting the totals for the 4 worst hit countries from the global totals ... which leaves numbers for the rest of the world, I found the death rate at 1.21%. Far far lower than Mike's 6% and lower still of the combined death rate for the 4 hardest hit which is at 3.87%.
So it looks to me that Mike and some others are blowing this out of proportion,, in some cases waaay out there over the top.

Still according to my calcs, 1.21% is nothing to sneeze at. It's still 12.1 times worse than the flu but far lower than Mike's 60 times. And another thing to note is how low South Koreas death rate is compared to the other 3 hardest hit at 0.7%. Also of note is Germany at 0.13% which is even better.

These two look like they have a pretty damn good health care system or they have been using maybe say IV Vitamin C as a treatment or something else that is effective ?
One other note ... If we take France, Spain, USA and Germany out of the picture (who's infection totals are between 1000 and 2000 per country, me thinks the global mortality rate will be below 1% or right at 1%

Anyway, just something I did cuz I couldn't sleep anymore. I included Mike's article link and a pic of my Excel calculations.

PS> Get some selenium as I have read that at more than 98.xx ug/L (that's micrograms per liter ) concentration of it in plasma/serum/blood will pretty much completely inhibit any corona virus (maybe all viruses) from infecting you. This linked with an article I read about keeping your pH up as well to inhibit viral infection ... they said in the range of 6.8 to 7.2 or 7.3.
PPS> Actually did the recalc for excluding USA, France, Germany and Spain. There was no death rate data for Spain so did for remaining 3 and death rate didn't quite make it under 1% ... it was 1.11%. But if Spain has low death rate then I think it would be just under 1%. So without Spains data, the numbers say 11.1 times regular flu so it's still not too good here but waaay better than what Mike has been saying.
