Mr. Oxygen mentioned in his article something called Liposomal Vit C. I found out about this many years ago now and have made it and used it but haven't done so for quite sometime now. But now I will be getting back to using it on a daily basis again given the current threat. What it is basically is a coated form of one of any vitamin C sources for instance ascorbic acid. The coating applied is the Liposomal part which is Lethicin. The Lethicin has too be GMO free of whatever source it comes from ... guess that's a no brainer eh ? I found several recipes on Utube years ago but not sure if they are still out there anymore considering how Utube has been purging channels they don't like. I have my recipe written down somewhere but haven't seen it lately so I'd have to find it and do another post.
The basics of it are very simple and easily remembered. You take a certain amount of Ascorbic acid and dissolve it on low heat in a certain amount of water ( 1 or 2 cups if memory serves). Then you mix so much Lethicin in a larger qty of water (8 cups ???) in a blender really well. Then combine the two again in a blender and mix well. Then the mixture is put in anultrasonic cleaning machine for about 4 or 5 minutes and viola done !
It must be stored in the fridge and does have a kinda short shelf life even in the fridge. So it best to make the minimum recipe batch so you use it up quickly. If memory serves it should be used up in 3 to 5 days I think but don't quote me here.
Try a search on Utube and see if there are still vids out there showing how to.
So the whole idea with this is to protect the Vit C from destruction in stomach acid and passes into the small intestine where almost all of it can be absorbed into the blood. Single doses can be as high as 7 or 8 grams of Vit C when taking this way. At least I think it can be that high. I suppose one could use more ascorbic acid to boost the dose higher than calls for in the basic recipe or just take more doses per day. When I was using it, I was also taking very large doses of MSM in the form of MSM water. (MSM dissolved in water, high concentrate, tastes AWEFUL ! and the Lipo C isn't that tasty either but ...don't they say if yer meds taste bad they probably work ?). Very good combination for many issues like gout or arthritis and so on.
