A little. But not entirely. :)

Recent conversations -- not a 'charade'; that's the wrong word, as it implies others in the conversation were putting up a false front of some kind -- began with this post:

...in which you were energeically "instructing" us on the difference between "freedom" and "liberty". That by itself is a little annoying, in that it presumes we're ignorant of that difference and the wonderful SOW has come to save us from our stupidity. But that's not the main thing that drew reactions and responses.

Someone said your posts are "hate filled". That was your first clue, that, for whatever reason, you're not being perceived in the way you might expect. Probably it's partly because English is not your original language, and partly because of mirroring, and more.

Then Reader Mike wrote "not hate filled" and that one needs to approach SOW's posts "able and willing to read with impersonal maturity."

I joined the conversation at that point with this post:

...which had to do with this language (and more) in your initial post:

I find the language there to be pointedly disrespectful. As current jargon would put it, you're "dissing" both President Trump and the millions of Americans who think well of him and the job he's doing.

You then went on to advise us that, as is said of God, you're not a respecter of persons -- which signals that your English-as-a-second-language concept of what's meant by "respect" differs from what most of us understand the word to mean.

For most of us, I think, respect is something to be given unless and until one proves unworthy of respect. It appears your concept of it, however, is more akin to granting honor to one who has proved he's worthy of it.

So let me rephrase what I said earlier, then:

I find the language there to be actively disdainful. Not respectful; not neutral, either; but assertively, negatively, "superior" to all the imagined-to-be-benighted souls who see it differently than you do.

Insulting. A slap in the face. And, incidentally, coming at roughly the same time as the Don Lemon video clip in which Trump supporters are being laughed at as rubes who don't realize how stupid they are. :)

I think that is what triggered and propelled the conversations that followed even if those conversations were about something else.

Your point about mirroring is generally valid, but the phenomenon works in both directions. Each one experiences and expresses forth into the world _through_ his or her individual consciousness. Consequently the content of that consciousness affects both our perception of the world we share and also how we will be perceived by others.
