From her first PBS special, "Dream With Me", here's Jackie Evancho with "Dark Waltz" (which was not included on the CD). Jackie was 10 or 11 when this was recorded.
I don't know much about the origin of the song, except that it was included on the Hayley Westernra 2003 album "Pure". I find that it was written by Frank John Musker, Matteo Saggese, and Umberto Morasca. I read that the violinist is Conrad Tao.
