The term for a group of alligators is a congregation. I've seen them on a bayou in Louisiana, and their appearance brings to mind the people who are the so-called leaders of the EU. The one subject which has been taboo during the farce of the Brexit negotiations is that of the EU Defence Union, because opting into this - and no one is willing to give an assurance that Britain will not sign on the dotted line - means surrendering not only our military, but also our intelligence and police services to EU control. A state of affairs which involves giving away so much power cannot possibly be described as a genuine Brexit.
