I also have skills seeing faces. About 30 years ago I began looking at print ads and found that in an ad one person plays all roles in that ad. About 10 years ago I began studying faces on tv and in movies and found the same thing. I can always break it down to one to three people playing all roles. I think it is usually one person but seldom able to break it down that far for sure.

Heres how to do it. Pick a facial feature on one person and remember what it looks like and the angle from which you viewed it. Then when you see another character on the screen from the same angle compare the same facial feature. Then move to another facial feature and do the same thing. Compare distance between eyes, and also look deep into the eyes. Compare ears, nose, chin, cheeks, teeth, etc always from the same angle. Angles change appearence. So does hair, glasses, makeup, lighting, etc. Age, sex, size, race makes no difference. One person will play a senior and a baby and all ages in between.

Dont bother comparing bodies. They change them extremely but always use the same head for some reason. They will change the size of the head and fatten it up but it is always the same head for each role. After you see all this yourself it creates more questions than answers. After you train your eye you will see the same thing presented by the media out in the so called real world. It takes some time to build your skills but dont give up.

All this is very weird and I dont know where it ends or why.
