I just wanted to piggy-back on Rayelan's post, to say how much I truly cherish my Intrinity.

I have the medium sized Intrinity. Not only do I find myself mesmerized by the design, I am also enjoying it's heft. It is not light, but it's not overly heavy. I'm getting better at spinning it, but it takes practice... :)

To be honest, I haven't actually worn my Intrinity all that much - but there's a good reason for that. My husband's father passed away in June, and my father-in-law collected raw opal right off the beaches of Southern Australia. He had his own lapidary setup and polished these pieces until their beauty shown brilliantly. The surviving siblings divided the opal collection equally, and my husband received a beautifully polished but unset fire opal - which he had set and then he gave it to me on our 26th wedding anniversary in September - just a few days prior to my Intrinity's arrival.

So, except for the few hours I actually wore the Intrinity on the day of it's arrival, I've been wearing the fire opal and carrying the Intrinity in my pocket (it is always with me) - when I'm not rolling it between my thumb and fingers of my left hand. This happened quite naturally, it wasn't my original intention to carry or roll the Intrinity like this, but I'm enjoying carrying/rolling it for now. I will wear it, you bet your bippy I will.

Beyond its beautiful design (it has many "views", depending on how you look at it) - there is also something about the Intrinity's movement, its weight and feel - which pictures and video cannot truly convey - that is just comfortable, soothing, meditative. I want to say zen, it has a zen-like quality. Yes!

In my work, I write code all day and I find that rolling the Intrinity in my left hand in a smooth, even motion brings clarity of mind while I'm trudging through logic. I roll the Intrinity while I'm pondering (which is quite often) as well, which brings the same clarity of mind. I don't know why the left hand, using the right hand might have the same effect - I just haven't found myself rolling the Intrinity in my right hand.
