Agreed, agreed.. add to that the subduction zone of outer Earths crust. It's like a never ending, slow moving conveyor belt that rolls the crust under into the semi liquid mantle.
While the Earth is aprox 4.5 Billion yrs old (as far as science is telling us) The oceanic crust is subducted after about 200 million yrs.. How many times has it done that???

There is a huge amount of conjecture concerning the age of mankind.

If catastrophic nature of the solar system is taken into consideration then it may be impossible to ever gauge with certainty the age of humanity or even the Earth, unless there can be found some independent, objective observation of the history of this solar system.

When evidence suggests that entire oceans were dragged from their basins and rolled thousands of feet deep across continents, that entire continents were raised from the ocean floor and some lowered to that floor, that ice at three-hundred degrees below zero was drawn from space and deposited miles thick at the magnetic poles in a scant few days and all of this and more in recorded history it becomes apparent that conjecture and hypothesis is the best we can achieve without independent observation to verify events.

Velikovsky nailed it down tightly when he said that these events cause a willful species wide amnesia in mans mind. Things too horrible to think about. But, these things have to be contemplated if we are ever to have factual certainty of our history.

We live short, fluttering lives in relation to the solar system. We need to find an old observer with whom we might engage in dialog. I haven't the faintest idea how to do that but nonetheless that's as good a starting place as any.
