To the untrained eye, all ticks look alike. But should you get a bite, knowing the culprit is important. “Different types of ticks transmit different types of germs,” says Thomas Mather, PhD, director of the University of Rhode Island’s Center for Vector-Borne Disease. Some ticks spread Lyme disease, but there are other tick-borne diseases to watch out for, too.

The many levels I have a problem with this story; think about it.
The labs usually can't even tell when us lg human folks have a tic born illness. They are telling us that those state lines that contain certain types of tics have this specific illness? Really?

What kept going through my brain was this: It is most likely that these certain types of tics carry this illness because like in the book 257 that is what it was called for to place in the certain tics on purpose, by us. Guess that makes me cynical, call it as I see it. Anyone with a better thought process, that makes as much sense as what I've written please do join in.
