Your post is so true. I've known these things for years partly due to my own search for health.

When I was in my late teens I had two jobs for about six months and started to feel unwell. I realised that I wasn't looking after myself nutritionally. Now in my early 60s, I get tired if I don't eat some raw food each day. My sons were also lean while they were growing up and understand to keep their processed foods to a minimum.

Supermarket bread is also another problem. Sourdough is better, but I limit my bread intake to a couple of times per week. I also use a spoonful of Vital Greens in water a few times per week for extra nutrition, as well as other vitamins.

I hope you have recovered from your operation last year.
