I'm sending this to you directly instead of posting at CGI (like my last one) because it's in response to this article and post. attaches to this post.

What are the chances ... I was a BC tree planter in 1984(?), and J. must have been one of the super pros with his impressive number of trees per day. I was soon demoted to the cook team, and began cooking for what was a vegetarian tree-planting org.

Anyways, I was thinking exactly the same thing, and watched the video on full screen to see if they actually show a sprouted tree seed pod in slo-mo. It was the drone development team talking - I don't think they mentioned that it wasn't just scattering seed on the land. And it includes regular watering by the same drones. They are trying to create natural diversity in this way, but I don't think they're there yet.

I travelled with a well-seasoned planter when I went to plant trees. On the way out he told me about the year that they had a few Bahai planting; they said a prayer over each one. As my friend said, they must have grown better than any others. We planted trees about 6 inches tall with compact root systems that seemed to have grown in something called a pod, like some kind of popsicle tray. - probably depending on the type of tree, it would be larger, like the ones the planters have in their bags at the beginning of the video.

Interesting to have been there and done that manually - thanks for sharing!
