Lucifer’s Semi-Final Conclave: Epilogue

Mere months after Rocksense did it’s final nosedive, Bertha And Justin Wilks went to their reward, leaving their entire earthly estate to Clive. Clive made their dream live on.
Bertha was first, Justin soon followed. Both of heart trouble. Bertha had a Coronary stroke, and most figured Justin died soon after of a broken heart.
Craig Avery you may recall was the near blind owner of the Van’s aircraft. He was so delighted in the checkout flight he did with Jim, that his grand daughter researched his condition, Aniridia, and found that visual prosthetic spectacles implanted by USC medical center had restored 3 others with that condition successfully. Enough to get drivers licenses, at least. Craig has real hopes to soon fly his Van’s again.
The mission: Thanks to both Christy and Danielle receiving 7 figure settlements, their donations enabled the mission to buy enough modern kitchen equipment and nearly double their dining room space.
Mae, Katie, Annie and Jake Thrasher? Well Jake’s family had owned the land and grazing rights on their 2535 acre ranch south of Pahrump since 1873. He and his wife, and 2 daughters raised cattle there until Harry Reid, the EPA and Clark County commission ran by Rory Reid, and the Chinese shut them down. So when Clive was considering how best to make the Wilks ranch live again, Jim Belmont made a suggestion. You recall that Jim was present when Harry got his black eye? Well it was Katie Thrasher that did the deed. Katie impressed Jim in more ways than that though. 28 year old Katie was a real winner. She loved ranching more than most females liked Boutiques. She was also really an eye pleaser as well. Her sister Annie was no slouch either, far from it. On Jim’s suggestion, he spent 2 months having the same group of investigators that had cleared folks for the smaller trace spreads for the Wilk’s. He invited them up for a visit. The thrashers were down to 117 head and reluctantly looking for fair buyers, when Clive offered them a 50 year lease on the Wilk’s spread for $1.
They accepted, and soon were restoring the adjacent original older Wilk’s home. For their living quarters. Hussy was employed in moving their 117 head to their new home.
Hussy had to have her camper removed and placed in a barn, and had a fifth wheel hitch installed in the bed to handle large stock trailers.
Actually, truth be known, Katie was the real reason Jim Belmont drove the 100 miles down from Las Vegas all most every weekend. Jim had developed a sudden interest in ranching. Sniffy eventually figured out what everyone on the trace already knew. Jim was sweet on Katie, and Katie liked teaching Jim all the ranching tricks.
Danielle was sitting on the deck of the new home they had built with her settlement cash. She liked the view down the slope to the sometimes streams that greened that portion of the Virgin river watershed. Deer often mingled with the random cattle that wandered there. This was a nice place for a Nature lover like the Bridgid that lived inside her.
Danielle has let her hair grow enough to reach shoulder length. She plans on keeping it there, at least until the new baby arrives. Brihgid Says it’s a little red haired girl, and she is probably spot on as usual Everyone loves it. She was watching her son, Daniel Warren, 3, play with her namesake, Danielle Burns. 5, and Christy’s Daughter Carrie Wilks, 3.
Wait. Who is Carrie Wilks? Oh… well, Clive had his name legally changed to Clifford Wilks. He liked it much better than his birth name of Chanoch Reinosch. So did Christy.
Christy and Clive got married? Yep. And it was a double wedding at that. Homer hitched both her and Clive and Danielle and Phil after one of their Sunday meetings, over 4 years ago, now. Clive even had Ken pick up a double order of Dot’s Dot Pastries. Both Christy and Danielle nixed best men, cause both said they marrying the best men.
Christy was looking for someone to give her NO MEN ALLOWED sign to, but no takers, so far.
And actually, Danielle and Christy are on their second now. As she watched from the
deck, Danielle is in her fifth month, and Christy is 3 months. Of course as Christy and Danielle drank their tea and enjoyed the view, granny Jennifeer beamed with joy as she chased them about the yard.
Clive and Christy Also opened several Shooting Ranges on the spread. A 1200 yard rifle range for the big boys, hanging metal at every 100. A womens’ only 50 yard range, with free beginner instructions for both sexes ages 8 and up on Saturdays 8 until 2.
So far so good with the trace community. If Jim and Katie hang in there long enough, Buffy may have even more kids around to help home school.
Finally, Yough got some good news as well. Phil had found a CKC group who can Import Caucasian Shepherds from the old country. He has them looking for a long haired older mate for Yough. He’s excited.
Marcy? Well, her grand father Hatalii crossed the river 4 years ago. She was fill in until her father returned from his final elective journey last year, as Hatalii. Marcy is his understudy, and does not have as much time to visit with the group as she did.
Nah, the trace is not a ’commune’. Far from it. All of them are just trying to do all of the things Solomon recommended. Earn all of life you enjoy, but never get too busy to enjoy your life. especially while you are earning it.
