My daughter was lamenting that she should go back to work right away. She's a nurse. Baby Chris was born premature and while he is catching up, he needs his Mom.. She decided to stay home for the first year or so and I hope I had a hand in helping her remember that baby Chris is more important then an extra income right now..

Long ago, when it was customary for the mother to stay at home looking after the kids and the home, there was time to take care of "emergencies" like the kids getting measles or any other common illness. They had time to use their common sense, check that the condition was not really that serious and supply the best cure know as home care and TLC - Tender Loving Care. It was simple, natural, humane and effective. There was also a positive benefit for kids to get measles It challenged their still developing immune system and since it was not very serious, the kids were stronger for surviving it naturally. Mumps was another childhood illness that was dealt with in the same way. Today of course, mothers are too busy working to have time to pay more than lip service to the idea of giving their sick kids and TLC. They are too busy and only too happy to hand the job over to the medical fraternity and its adoration of vaccination.

If the truth be told, Vaccination is a distortion of Hahnemann's work.
