Um yep ... It's a totally inhospitable environment ... what possible reason could humans have to inhabit such a horrible place when we have such a great place here ? Only reason might be that we may have once come from there but again it's dead and done with, why go back ? Only for archeological reasons if in fact we did possibly originate from there to find our past. If we need more resources then mining asteroids is a viable alternative but still dangerous. I think that there are MORE than enough resources right here for now. I think that there are no planets in THIS system that are viable for resources that we can actually reach ... the only option is interstellar travel to like planets and then what is the point of bringing resources back here ? Why not just colonize if the planet is uninhabited ? If the planet is inhabited then move on. Simple logic and common sense ...I'm sure there are more than enough planets out there for expansion of the human race to share with others in the cosmos. I mean think about it ... if there are billions of planets (in this galaxy alone) then I think there is enough to go around. Resources are not in short demand considering the size of the Universe, but there are those who will tell you that this is not so.
