Dear RM Agents and Readers,

There is much judgement where Hunter Thompson was concerned; the prior post is true. Yet, there was a means to an end. The end was the truth so that he might share it so we might take action and stop this obscene behavior.

He took part in filming of a snuff film of a child; this is horrendous. Yet, he didn't enjoy it and was sickened by it but used this horrendous moment to point at these behaviors so that we might grow up and stand up to the bastards!

I met him a month before he passed and he was not arrogant as the "Angry White Man" columnist had written upon his passing in the Aspen Times. Instead, I met a man who was open to learning from others and being as much apart of their existence as many wanted to be a part of his. I met a fellow traveler who found the weight of what he had discovered "the hard way" pressing upon his every cell; making even walking difficult. His heart was very heavy but his way of alleviating that was writing, drugging and drinking not in any particular order.

Hunter Thompson was in a great deal of pain towards the end; albeit he was writing about the call boy service that was then being allowed in the white house; yet, it went unfinished due to his untimely death. He was murdered, it was not suicide but the last 38 years have seen many suicides that were murders.

I met Anita Thompson and Hunter Thompson in my Store in Marble, Colorado. At the time, I had (strangely enough in retrospect) been poisoned with a propane heater that was not valued for the elevation we were at. So when he told me who he was the movie that came to mind was:

Leaving Las Vegas and I said was it a Drama. He laughed, and I knew I got it wrong. I explained to them that on this day they have chosen to visit the store, I can't even recall my last name and only yesterday figured out the problem with the heater. We laughed and he signed my book that I never received back; lost most of what was mine(things I have now no attachments as given by different people). He went down and watched the artist in resident working, stated how good he was and we began bringing pieces to the then establishment of "Flying Dog Arts" of Woody Creek. Met a good friend of Hunter Thompson their, George Stranahan. He schooled me a bit:)

Hunter Thompson didn't set out to do a snuff film; he set out to leave open for the world to see, the monsters behind the curtain, IMO.
