Native American liberal activist Nathan Phillips was photographed at an anti-Trump protest in April 2017 at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. The protest was against Trump’s environmental policies.

Phillips was shown holding a drum and drumstick in a similar pose to the one he used Friday at the Lincoln Memorial when he harassed a pro-Trump high school student wearing a MAGA hat by getting in the boy’s face, drumming and chanting at him from a distance of mere inches for about two or three minutes.

Phillips rocketed to national prominence Saturday as he peddled a false story that he was set upon and surrounded by hateful students wearing MAGA hats. Numerous videos show that contrary to Phillips’ story it was he who approached the boys and moved himself directly in front of one boy, drumming and chanting in a Native American language without speaking to the boy or explaining what he was doing. The video below was taken by the racist, anti-gay black religious zealots who had been taunting the students before Phillips walked over with his fellow Native American activists to confront the boys.
