I am in total agreement with ya there sonofthewind. It has been like this for a very long time. Tesla tried to give it away but ended up pennyless and eventually dead and all his docs were confiscated.
As a free energy researcher myself, I have found that these MORON's run straight to the patent office and once they figure it out, it's buried in the Indiana Jones warehouse of forbidden artifacts FOREVER. Guys like this and other idiots don't get that they could open source it online, give it away and still make a decent living or even more by just manufacturing and selling to locals and save the world in the process.
The difference between an invention say like the cell phone or the computer and free energy is pretty big. Free energy would change the world in such a huge way that the cell phone would pale in comparison.

I have come close myself to getting a working over unity device working (in fact it was over unity but minimally ... )and have dissembled all my info freely on the appropriate forums. My device was destroyed by an idiot who decided to stick his finger in the device while it was operating and was lucky he didn't LOSE his finger ! It flew apart a week or so later and hasn't been rebuilt. Haven't had the time or motivation to rebuild and restart the project since my design could only be slightly over unity from what I saw in it's operation. We need something much more robust. But alas it was a start and I'm sure I will get back to it one day soon.

It's hard to get motivated to save a world that's not worth saving.
In the end, ANY free energy invention HAS to be open sourced far and wide otherwise it WILL be confiscated, shut down, inventor killed or silenced and that is the ONLY way it will EVER be brought to light.

One little big problem with free energy is that some idiot will undoubtedly use that unlimited energy to design a weapon far more dangerous than nukes and that is just inevitable. In fact it's already been done ... we just don't know about it ... yet.
Directed energy weapons are most likely a good example since they require enormous amounts of energy to be effective so they have no doubt been using these free energy devices to power weapons of mass destruction. I mean that is the free energy devices that they have confiscated in the decades gone by and are using for their own agendas.
