i agree with this person's comment.
Personality disorders as a diagnostic category is mostly a case of doctors WITH PERSONALITY DISORDERS projecting their own egos and issues onto THEIR VICTIMS ie. onto their patients THINGS THAT THEY DO NOT "GET" THEMSELVES AND THEIR MOTIVATION IS POWER AND MONEY.
Back in the 80's, there was a book considered the Bible of human personality development and disorders called "The Psychological Birth of the Human Infant" by Margaret Mahler. While i do not agree 100% with what she says, it is written in a way that is understandable to people NOT in the mental health BUSINESS (and it IS a business-and a DIRTY one at that).
The book is likely out of print but consider the more recent tomes are mostly cases of even more out to lunch so-called professionals trying to CREATE problems to make money off of-and they don't make money by FIXING you--only by making you DEPENDENT ON THEM.
