Tough as it will be to stomach, it likely increases Trump's odds of re-election in 2020. And there will be no partisan legislation that will make it past the Senate and Presidential veto. By the same token, they will be powerless to block any Trump nominations orr to undo much of what he has already accomplished.

We may just have to wait until after 2020 to get the Trump agenda back into full swing, including getting the wall up and reducing the deficit.
