Borreliosis can cause multiple cutaneous manifestations. The more we learn about Morgellons, the more I wonder how Dermtology could've missed this. They missed it because a DOP diagnosis is easier. The result of negligence, arrogance and reckless misdiagnoses is thousands of people who have suffered far more than if this could've been diagnosed and treated earlier. I wish Derms would be forced to STOP stepping out of their field of expertise to make psychiatric diagnoses. The careless dismissal of Morgellons, a serious systemic infection, has collectively wasted billions of dollars in health care resources. More importantly, it has cost thousands of human beings their health and for far too many it has cost them their life. Finally the tables are starting to turn.
