However, you've missed my point - "overshot" it, actually. :)

"Thesis development" is not a problem and is not cause for complaint or concern.

On the contrary, writings that bury the lede/lead are concerning. It's apparent that "buried lede/lead" articles seek to manipulate the reader. It's a tactic in wide use these days in online sales presentations, which tire the reader to such a degree by article's end that he or she will (as being suggested) gladly click the "Order Now!" button just to get the darned thing over with. :)

"Cognitive dissonance" is not the issue, either.

Cognitive dissonance tends to generate discomfort. The _release_ of that discomfort can lead to a trance state. I would think most regular RMN Readers are accustomed to holding two or more contradictory assertions in mind at one time. :) That's kinda what RMN has always been about as we sift through the infostorm in search of which bits might actually be true.

Rather, as I stated, the very long complex sentences, filled with compound clause 'detours', is what I think is tiring and boring to the mind. An occasional simple declarative sentence would be nice. :)

I hope Rayelan might swing by and have something to add on this topic. She has mentioned that Gunther and his colleagues were taught a particular writing style for communicating in a special way.
