November 22, 1963, I was for some reason not in school but at home and in front of the TV when Walter Cronkite or someone appeared, to tell us all that the president had been shot. I remember calling my mother at work to tell her this emergent news; my call was the first word of it that reached her and her work environment.

Along with pretty much all of America, I was glued to the unfolding story on TV during the days that followed; and I do remember watching in real time the now-famous scene of John-John stepping forward and appearing to salute his fallen father as the cortège went by.

I would love to find out that John-John (JFK Jr.) sagely escaped and avoided an assassin's bullet and is still with us today. :) I'd love that, truly.

Meanwhile, a fellow calling himself EyeTheSpy came forward on Twitter. Some say he's a LARP (Live Action Role Player) but he has a good-sized following at this point and has been providing reason for hope for awhile now.

ETS initially said he was a worker in the NSA. One day he reported that he'd been shot; he tweeted 'selfies' with facial features omitted or blurred, from the hospital - and indeed, his tweets during that time were oddly happy-sounding, possibly an effect of the painkillers he was enjoying at the time. :)

Soon after returning home from the hospital ETS let us know he was now in a new job, though he's never specified exactly what the job is. We gather it involves traveling, if not directly with the president then at least in some capacity connected to the president's itinerary.

Is EyeTheSpy "for real"? I kinda think he is, but there's no way for me to know that authoritatively.
